Jamie Thornton has served at Faith Community Church and Schools since 2017. She has over twenty years of experience in Christian ministry and education. Jamie holds a FL Childcare and Educational Program Director Credential, an A.A. in Visual Arts, a B.S. in Early Childhood and Elementary Education, and she is in pursuit of an M.A. in Educational Ministries at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. A life-long learner, Jamie has completed additional training conducted by Ambleside Schools International and participated in a cohort of the Center for Pastor Theologians, “Artwork as Churchwork,” alongside Russ Ramsey and Andrew Peterson. She has a passion for creative arts and Christian education, and she believes Jesus really meant it when he said, “Let the little children come to me …” (Matt 19:14). Jamie is married to Dillon, and they have two boys, Aidan and Cullen. In her spare time (what is that?), she paints, reads the Inklings, runs, and travels the world—but especially New Zealand and England.
